Lockerbie Residential in the sunshine

Here’s just a few of the photographs from our fantastic trip away to Lockerbie Manor last week with year 5 &6.  We set off to Caelaverock Castle in Dumbfries on Wednesday morning after saying farewell to all our ‘tearful’ parents!  Once we arrived, we enjoyed a relaxing picnic in the shade, explored the castle and the grounds and even managed to do some careful line drawings of some of the interesting details in the castle grounds.

We then headed on to the manor for our action-packed adventure to begin.  We started with lots of team games and challenges before enjoying our evening meal and a wonderful walk up the surrounding hillsides.  Our second day of fun included climbing, low-ropes, survival and camp craft.  We had a delicious BBQ in the evening before our disco.

Our last day of the trip was spent kayaking and canoeing….. watch this space for more photos coming soon!

Sports Day

We had fun in the sun; running, jumping, throwing, kicking and wellie-wanging. Our annual celebration of sport was a team battle; first a round of challenges and then traditional flat races, all earning team points. This years victors were Red team!
