Welcome from Head Teacher

On behalf of all the staff, children, parents and governors may I welcome you to our school, set in the quiet village of Levens on the edge of the Lake District and just a few miles from the old market town, Kendal.  Like a family, we provide a happy, safe, secure and supportive environment where everyone enjoys the learning experiences each new day brings.

We endeavour to develop a life-long love of learning for everyone.  It is our privilege and our responsibility to prepare all our children for the next stage of their education and their future life.  With a focus on ensuring high standards in reading, writing and maths; we deliver a broad and balanced curriculum relevant to the 21st century.  Our pupils develop the necessary skills to communicate with others; to be able to form and maintain positive relationships; to recognise and celebrate their achievements and have pride in what they do. Our Christian ethos pervades every aspect of school; supporting the social, moral, spiritual and cultural development of all pupils.  We provide many opportunities for all our pupils to enjoy the outdoors, explore our local environment and experience enriched learning experiences further afield; including residential visits.

Relationships are at the heart of the school and our community. Our polite, responsible and enthusiastic pupils are inspired by committed, hardworking staff and school is very well supported by a dedicated governing body.  Our parents are another very important part of the team; supporting their child’s learning and the work of school in so many ways.

We are passionate about our school and our pupils; striving to empower their young minds to follow their dreams, be happy and embrace challenge.

Our website only provides a flavour of what our school can offer. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to arrange a visit and learn more.
