Children in Need
We had the most incredible day last Friday raising money for Children in Need!
As part of their 25 anniversary, our pupils were encouraged to complete ’25 challenges’ of their own choosing! We had many different stories of determination, kindness and resilience including climbing, messages of kindness, balancing acts and running long distances in our local community.
During our morning assembly we spent some time learning about all the great things that Children in Need does to make a difference to children experiencing all kinds of different challenges in their lives. We spent some time reflecting on our own lived experience and appreciating all that makes us feel safe, loved and healthy.
After that, Mrs Farraday took on the ‘Strictly 25 Step Challenge’ Infront of the whole school. Although there were great cheers and applause at the end, no one was able to award a perfect score of 10! The children and staff, however, performed their collaborative dance of 25 steps with enthusiasm and flair, scoring a 10 from our strictly judge, Mrs Mason.
Thanks for all your support – final figure of amount raised will be announced very soon!
Here we are in our Pudsey-themed outfits of all varieties!
