Sports Day
The sun shone for this years sports day. We did a circus of team activities followed by some flat races. It was a hard fought competition but this years winners were Yellow Team.

Scafell Class enjoyed a fantastic day scrambling up Stickle Ghyll in Langdale last week with four instructors from Dallam Outdoors. Although the day started with a torrential downpour, the sun began to shine as we climbed up through the stream, clambered over boulders and showered under waterfalls. The children supported each other at each stage of the scramble working together as a team! This trip was paid for by our sports funding which comes from central government and is allocated to provide sporting experiences in addition to the PE curriculum in school.
We had a great residential trip to Kingswood. We made shelters, climbed walls and discovered fencing. We challenged ourselves with the high ropes course and the problem solving tasks. Have a look at a selection of the 100s of pictures we took!
The whole school ran or walked a mile around Parson’s Field to raise money for Sport Relief
We reflected on talking to God. We learnt about Ash Wednesday and why Lent is special. We thought about our bad habits and what we might give up. Thanks to the members of St. Johns Church for making us welcome and for creating such visual and thoughtful stations.
We celebrated World Book Day in style. We shared our favourite books with each other and we dressed up as in as a everyone form Mr Bump to Peter Rabbit.
