Clay Creations in Class Three

Class Three have been very busy designing and creating amazing clay tiles. The children looked at examples of tiles from the Roman period and used these as inspiration for their own designs. They then experimented with clay and learnt new techniques. They then utilised these skills when designing and making their final pieces. Here are a few!

Addition in class 2!

We have been working really hard using our addition skills over the past few weeks in class 2!

English

We have started the term off learning about Superworm! We have learnt all about rhyming words and acting the story out to the class. We have created our own wormery and made our own instructions for this!

Computing in Class 2!

We have been learning how to log onto the computer and use the mouse and keyboard. We have had a go at typing and drawing on paint on the computer!

Levens School Remembers

We have been involved in making poppies with James Cropper PLC during our week of remembrance.

Children from key stage used the kits provided by the Burneside company to create a display of beautiful poppies at their plant during Remembrance weekend.

Last Friday, pupils from school walked down to St. John’s for our special service.  We were all wearing poppies that we had made using recycled materials, Each class laid a wreath at the memorial made in school and we donated money to the British Legion Poppy Appeal.
