Class Three have had an amazing day making their own savoury seasonal tart. We started the topic by looking at climate zones and where food is grown, we connected this to food miles and discussed how it is better to eat seasonally where possible. We then moved on to refining our peeling and chopping skills, learning how to safety use vegetable knives and peelers. Following this, we did some taste tests of seasonal foods and used this to design our own seasonal tarts. Our final results were amazing and the children were very eager to try them!
