Quick, there’s been a spill!

In Science, Skiddaw class have been carrying out a scientific test to test the absorbency of different types of paper. In case we have a spillage of water, what should we grab to clear it up?

We agreed the conditions of a fair test by always using 8 drops of water, only using a square of paper 10cm x 10cm and by leaving the paper to absorb the water for just 20 seconds before scoring it out of 10. 1 means it didn’t absorb any of the water and 10 means it soaked it all up completely.

Mrs Wadey was impressed with our measuring and counting skills and how we carried out a fair scientific test whilst ensuring each member of our group had a fair share of the jobs too!

Now we know which paper to grab when next we have a water spill!
